Award-winning filmmaker Sarah-Tabea Sammel is a writer-director, producer, artist, and social entrepreneur.

Sarah-Tabea is an award-winning filmmaker and artist with 10 years of experience in independent storytelling and production experience across 10 countries. As a social impact storyteller, she founded the Singapore-based film production company Biome Entertainment Pte. Ltd. and believes in storytelling as a social responsibility. She has worked on award-winning projects and has been invited to prestigious film markets with female-led genre narratives and currently works on her debut feature film.

With a background in TV broadcast, digital content, and independent as well as commissioned art projects across film, photography, and writing, she has written,script-edited, directed, produced, and edited on projects ranging from fiction, documentary, factual entertainment, VR, and animation. Her works for Discovery Channel and Channel News Asia have reached millions of online viewers. She has published prose, poetry, photography, and video art and she was in the Executive Committee of the Photographic Society of Singapore. She has taught digital storytelling and narrative intentionality in higher education at the National University of Singapore for five years, resulting in award-winning student projects and industry opportunities.

She studied and trained with a focus on Film Studies and Directing–Producing at Free University Berlin, Germany; at the National Film and Television School, UK; at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore; and at Heinrich-Heine University, Germany.
